You know what sucks?
when you are the first to have a baby among your friends, and your friends are all like "oh any time I can help, anything at all just give me a call and I will be right over."
So then you call your friend to see if they can come over - for an hour and a half while the baby is sleeping - so that you and your husband can go out for sushi and maybe try to salvage a little bit of their marriage>>>
oh sorry I have to do my laundry...

Yeah. They just SAY they want to help- but don't expect you to ask. Then when you do...forget about getting any help!LOL.
9 months pregnant in san francisco, all we were heard were offers to babysit.
18 months with a baby in san francisco, all we heard was, "sorry, I could meet the man of my dreams at the Hush Hush tonight, so why would I watch your baby?"
